Solidarity Education Center Mission
"Helping workers to know better what they already know" and the conversionof this "new knowledge" and political consciousness into collective action arefundamental to building solidarity and working class power. Despite capital's relentless assault and the demoralized state of the working class today, ourformal labor movement continues to de-emphasize if not ignore the value ofcomprehensive educational opportunities for members, leader-activists, and workers as a class.
The Solidarity Education Center Will:
●Create and promote the development of an in-depth, class struggle-based analysis and curricula with theory sustained by practice and strategic education with action options.
● The re-introduction of the popular 1990's regional Solidarity Schools and recruitment regional leader-activists to plan, co-ordinate, and facilitate them.
● Provide strategic workshop and discussion group facilitation for CLC's, local unions, regional bodies, auxiliary groups like JwJ, Worker Centers, and other worker/community coalition efforts.
● Adapt any and all appropriate facets of the SEC work to interactive Internet utilization and communication.
● Promote and support working class culture and artistic expressionthrough interactive popular education units involving music, theater, film and other venues…"We must have bread, and we must have roses too!"
Education for Struggle!
The one-sided class war against workers must be stopped!
